POPART Indoor air
pollution in Europe: an emerging environmental health
issue.
The focus of the project will be on art museum collections created
with synthetic polymers (typically cellulose nitrate and acetates,
poly (vinyl chloride), poly (methyl metacrylate) with a special
interest into polyurethanes objects or coatings) and will focus on
three dimensional objects as these frequently exhibit physical
degradation.
NET-HERITAGE European
network on research programme applied to the protection of tangible
cultural heritage
ERA-NETs actions scheme. The first significant initiative ever
attempting to coordinate national RTD programmes of European
countries and support European RTD Programmes in the field of
research applied to Protection for Tangible Cultural Heritage.
Research Infrastructures
DC-NET Digital Cultural
Heritage Network
It is a project within the ERA-NET scheme supporting
cooperation for
e- research infrastructures in the digital cultural heritage
field. Main aim is to develop and strengthen the co-ordination,
among European countries, of public research programmes in
the sector of the digital cultural heritage.
The project will integrate the research capacities of the
participant member states, will identify common targets and will
enhance existing programmes and projects in order to initiate the
deployment of a wide and comprehensive European e-Infrastructure
that will increase the research capacities of the digital cultural
heritage community.

EU-ARTECH, Access
Research and Technnology for the conservation of the European
Cultural Heritage.
Main aim of Eu-ARTECH has been to promote open access
to leading European research infrastructures, favouring research at
the highest level and to create new perspectives for the
conservation of the European cultural heritage. The goal was
pursued by developing new instrumentation and methodologies for
diagnostics and new treatments for the conservation-restoration of
outdoor stone and bronze monuments. Networking activities have been
contributed to establish cooperations and exchange of knowledge
with other infrastructures in the field and to diffuse common best
practices and related technologies. (End date: 31 May 2009, see
CORDIS news
19 July 2010).
COST
European Cooperation in Science and Technology
COST supported by the EU RTD Framework Programmes, is
a flexible tool to network and coordinate nationally funded
research activities.
COST is based on networks (COST Actions)
centered around research projects in fields that are of interest to
at least five COST countries.
