Toward European common standards
Planned work
- establish best protocols for multi-technique analysis of samples, following the type of object and material (stone, metal, paint, paper, polymers, …) or degradation issue (alterations, depositions, …)
- share knowledge on EC conservation projects for the improvement and harmonization of approaches in diagnosis and conservation methodology for monuments, historical buildings and sites
- adopt a progressive compatibility of museum archives and registers (distributed data sets or database systems or different digital formats); agree on the minimum necessary metadata to allow exchange and comparison, towards an uniform protocol for sharing analytical data.
